Quick take Aioli/Mayonnaise

Looking to add some zip to your sliders or sandwiches? Need a new twist for topping grilled chicken or steak? Try adding a little spice!

Whether using store-bought mayo or flexing some inner chef muscles by making an aioli from scratch, mixing in a little Winemaker’s Pantry ™ Spice Pairing will take it from boring to WOW in a snap.

Experiment with your own ideas, and please share them on social media… but here are a few to get you started.

Sauv Blanc – Lime Aioli

Ingredients

  • 1 cup – Mayo
  • 1 Tbs – WInemaker’s Pantry™  Sauv Blanc Spice Pairing
  • 1 Tbs – Lime Juice, plus the zest (peel) of one lime
  • Dash – Hot Sauce

Preparation

Add the mayo and Spice Pairing to a small mixing bowl. Using a microplane or grater, zest the lime… being careful to only scrape the green peel and not the pith (white part) of the fruit into the bowl. Then add in both the tablespoon of lime juice and a dash of your favorite hot sauce and stir to incorporate.

Chardonnay Blend – White Honey Aioli

Ingredients

  • 1 cup – Mayo
  • 1 Tbs – Winemaker’s Pantry™ Chardonnay Blend Spice Pairing
  • 1 Tbs – Acacia or other light colored honey
  • 1 Tbs – Stone Ground Mustard
  • Sea Salt to Taste

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl. Add a pinch of sea salt to taste.

Pinot Noir Blend – Spicy Aioli

Ingredients

  • 1 cup – Mayo
  • 1 Tbs – Winemaker’s Pantry™ Pinot Noir Blend Spice Pairing
  • 1 Tbs – Stone Ground Mustard
  • 1 Tbs – Ketchup
  • 1 tsp – Hot Sauce
  • 1 tsp – Worcestershire Sauce

Preparation

Mix together all ingredients in a small mixing bowl, adding more hot sauce as desired.

Merlot Blend – Truffle Aioli

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup – Mayo
  • 1/2 cup – Sour Cream
  • 1 Tbs – Winemaker’s Pantry™ Merlot Blend Spice Pairing
  • 2 tsp – Truffle Oil (or 1 Tbs minced prepared Truffle condiment)
  • Sea Salt to Taste

Preparation

Combine the ingredients in a mixing bowl. This simple take makes a great dip for potato chips!!

Cabernet Blend – Roast Beef Ready Aioli

 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup – Mayo
  • 1 Tbs – Winemaker’s Pantry™ Spice Pairing for Cabernet
  • 1 Tbs – prepared Horseradish
  • 1 tsp – Stone Ground Mustard
  • 1 tsp – Ketchup
  • 1 tsp – Worcestershire Sauce
  • Dash – Hot Sauce

Preparation

Mix together the ingredients adding an additional dash of hot sauce and/or more horseradish as desired for heat.
